Wow, so much has happened. Our newest family member, the husky, was hit by a car the week after grandpa passed away. It was very traumatic and scary. She came away with a bruised lung, a sore nose and eye, and thank heavens no broken bones. Since it was her first visit to the vet since we got her, we had her scanned for a chip to see if there was another owner. And there was, we were very apprehensive that he would be taking her back. He came to our home that afternoon, and after explaining some of her history and a chat on the phone to his wife, they decided that she had found her home. We were so blessed that day. So she is a full blooded Siberian Husky and her real name is Crystal Blue Eyes, not Sky, like we named her:) So a week after that traumatic event she decided to eat a box of mouse poison that was hiding under the fireplace. After forcing hydrogen peroxide down her throat to induce vomiting we were able to get everything out. She seems to be well and likes to show Gretchen who the true boss is.
On January 6th, of 2007, my very first nephew was born. His name is Maverick Madden Brady and he was born a premi and had to spend a week in the NICU. He is a trooper and his 3 older sisters adore him, not to mention his very proud aunt. I have been trying to add pictures to the blog but with their new changes it isn't working as well as I would like it.
Brian was also called to be the 2nd counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency and things are great. Lots of love and be sure to keep in touch.
