On November 1st my brother-in-law was in a serious semi truck accident. He was driving the semi truck and we are greatful he is alive. It is a miracle he got out of the truck. Here is a picture of the truck. He was able to escape with no broken bones and only scrapes and bruises. He did have to have surgery on his leg, a chunk the size of a football was torn off of his calf on his left leg. There was only flesh and fatty tissue removed. No muscle damage. He will have surgery again on the 28th to have a skin graft to finish closing the wound.
On November 10th, my 47 year old dad had a stroke. Again we are very blessed that he is going to be ok. He has loss of vision in both eyes and has only his tunnel vision. His left side gives him a little bit of trouble and there is definately some personality changes as well as absent mindedness. We are so lucky it wasn't worse.
Here is my dad in the hospital with McKadie. She was very tired after spending the night in the hospital.Due to the medical condition of dad now, Brian and I have moved our family into my parents home. Mom works full time and dad is unable to drive truck anymore so he is at home trying to recover. I "babysit" him and make sure he takes his meds, eats right and does his exercises. Life has been extremely chaotic but we have so many things to thank Heavenly Father for. My sister has her husband and the daddy of her 3 small kids still here with us. And McKadie will get to know her grandpa much better now.
Have a Great Thanksgiving!!!

Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope that he is able to recover. It's good that you are there to help.
Wow, I didn't know that had happened. How are you doing? That is quite a responsibility to take on. Are you there permanently, as in not going back to your house?
